AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 Results

AEW and NJPW premiere their first joint PPV with “Forbidden Door” 2022 on June 26. The event takes place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Forbidden Door Chicago Illinois

The commentators are Kevin Kelly, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur.

– Tonight is AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, the pre-show starts with the arrival of Aaron Solo and QT Marshall followed by YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto for the first game.

Tag Team Match

QT Marshall and Aaron Solo vs. Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi

At the end of the match, Hirooki Goto takes Aaron Solo on his shoulders, Yoshi-Hashi lands him a Superkick and then Goto lands his Ushigoroshi. Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi finish with the Shoto for the win.

Winners: Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi

Singles Match

Lance Archer vs. Nick Comoroto

At the end of the match, Lance Archer knocks out Nick Comoroto who is on the corner of the ring with a punch, then he carries his Crucifix Bomb for the victory.

Winner: Lance Archer

– Clark Connors says he has this opportunity because of Tomohiro Ishii’s injury and he wishes him a speedy recovery. He’s here tonight to show what he can do and shock the world. He ends with his phrase “Let’s Get Wild”.

Tag Team Match

Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland vs. Suzuki-gun (Yoshinobu Kanemaru and El Desperado)

At the end of the match, Swerve Scott knocked out El Desperado with a Superkick then he landed him a Slingshot Double Stomp and Keith Lee followed up with his Ground Zero on Yoshinobu Kanemaru for the victory.

Winners: Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland

8-Man Tag Team Match

Gunn Club (Austin, Colten and Billy Gunn) and Max Caster vs. THE DKC, Kevin Knight, Alex Coughlin and Yuya Uemura

At the end of the match, Billy Gunn carries his Fameasser on The DKC then Max Caster finishes with an Elbow Drop for the victory.

The commentators are Kevin Kelly, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur.

– The AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV kicks off with the commentators welcoming us and the arrival of the Jericho Appreciation Society followed by Minoru Suzuki. Shota Umino, Wheeler Yuta and Eddie Kingston come next.

Trios Match

The winning team will have the advantage for the Blood and Guts.

Chris Jericho, Minoru Suzuki and Sammy Guevara vs. Shota Umino, Wheeler Yuta and Eddie Kingston

During the match, Shota Umino uses a Tornado DDT on Chris Jericho then he continues with a Brainbuster but it is not enough.

At the end of the match, Shota Umino got rid of Samy Guevara and Minoru Suzuki with elbow strikes, but he was completely stunned by Chris Jericho who gave him his Judas Effect for the victory.

Winner Takes All – IWGP and Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) (c ROH) vs Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan (c IWGP) vs Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta)

At the end of the match, Rocky Romero throws himself against the ropes, but he is greeted by the FTRs who carry him their Big Rig for the victory.

Winners and New IWGP and Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions: FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) (c ROH)

– Juice Robinson says he’s the real IWGP US Champion and tonight’s match will be a contender’s match. Jay White says Juice Robinson beat Moxley, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Will Ospreay to win that title and he never lost it, so he’s the rightful champion. He ends by saying that he too tonight will beat three other wrestlers tonight in the 4 Way Match.

AEW All-Atlantic Championship – 4-Way Match

Tomohiro Ishii is injured and replaced by Connors.

Pac vs. Miro vs. Malakai Black vs. Clark Connors

At the end of the match, Malakai Black tries to wear a Jijugatame on Clark Connors and meanwhile, Pac takes the opportunity to wear a 450 splash to break the hold then he continues with his Brutalizer for R the victory by submission over Clark Connors.

Winner and New Champion AEW All Atlantic : Pac

Trios Match

Hiromu Takahashi cannot go to America, because he has a fever, he is then removed from the match.

bullet Club (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson & El Phantasmo) (accompanied by Hikuleo) vs. Dudes with Attitude (Darby AllinSting & Shingo Takagi)

During the match, Shingo Takagi sounds El Phantasmo with a Pumping Bomber but it’s not enough.

At the end of the match, Shingo Takagi harangues the crowd and initially wears El Phantasmo for the Made in Japan but he changes his mind and wears the Last of the Dragon for the victory.

Winners: Dudes with Attitude (Darby Allin, Sting & Shingo Takagi)

– Chris Jericho tells Shota Umino that he respects him and that he admires his performance tonight then he throws a fireball in his face because he is a magician.

AEW Women’s Championship – Singles Match

Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Toni Storm

At the end of the match, Thunder Rosa blocks Toni Storm’s Storm Zero attempt then she twists his arm and sends him to the ground hard. Thunder Rosa then continues with his Final Reckoning for the victory.

IWGP United States Championship – Singles Match

Will Ospreay (c) vs. Orange Cassidy

At the end of the match, Will Ospreay stuns Orange Cassidy with a hidden Blade and finishes with his Stormbreaker for the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay

After the match, Will Ospreay and Aussie Open take on Orange Cassidy. Roppongi Vice comes to his rescue but they are quickly taken out of harm’s way then Katsuyori Shibata’s music plays and he cleans up then celebrates with Orange Cassidy in his own way.

Singles Match

Zack Saber Jr vs Claudio Castagnoli

At the end of the match, Claudio Castagnoli lands a Popup European Uppercut on Zack Saber Jr. then a Discus Lariat and he finishes with his Ricola Bomb for the victory.

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli

IWGP World Heavyweight Championship – 4-Way Match

Jay White (c) vs. Kazuchika Okada vs. Adam Hangman Page vs. Adam Cole

At the end of the match, Jay White pinned Kazuchika Okada with his Bladerunner and then pinned Adam Cole for the win.

Winner: Jay White (c)

Interim AEW World Championship – Singles Match

Jon Moxley vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi

At the end of the match, Jon Moxley landed a Rear Naked Choke on Hiroshi Tanahashi and then he followed up with his Death Rider for the victory.

Winner and Interim AEW World Champion: Jon Moxley

After the match, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Jon Moxley shake hands, but Daniel Garcia followed by the Jericho Appreciation Society comes to attack him. Wheeler Yuta, Santana, Ortiz, Eddie Kingston then Claudio Castagnoli then come to scare away the JAS.

The show ends with William Regal, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Santana and Ortiz in the ring celebrating with an Eddie Kingston who berates Claudio Castagnoli.
