After the first training session of Amiens SC this Thursday morning, Philippe Hinschberger gave an interview to the 11 Amiens in order to discuss the recovery but also and above all the transfer window of his team. In the wake of the departure of Mateo Pavlovic, the Picard club welcomes Sebastien Ring while three holders are still on the start. Maintenance.
Philippe, serious things are finally starting again…
It’s good to find the grounds. We’ve had a whole battery of tests since Monday, with a lot of things to do, Amiens SC being a serious club that leaves nothing to chance. We, the technicians, are happy to find the magnificent grounds of the training center. We had superb conditions for this first session, which was a fairly simple session of races and individual technical work. We’re going to work like that until Saturday and we’re going to start really getting into the heart of the matter on Monday during the internship.
It’s a bit like that. Until Saturday, we double training on Thursday and Friday then we have a session on Saturday morning. That’s five training sessions in three days, it’s going to shake up your bodies a bit when you’ve stopped training for several weeks. We will also touch the ball, do conservation and not just juggle.
How did you find your group athletically? We imagine with somewhat disparate states of form…
Still. There are also players who support more or less well the stoppage due to the truce. Now, we individualize so much and the states of form are also different throughout the season. Afterwards, over the first two weeks, the athletic work carried out is not necessarily that appreciated by the footballers. We are on two or four minutes, times that seem short for ordinary mortals, but for a footballer running two minutes in a row is really to give himself cash. With the tools available today, we make fewer mistakes than fifteen years ago.
All this with a small group, which was your first wish for this new season…
This was the desired roadmap. I spoke on the subject in March, I was heard by the club, knowing also that we have integrated four players from the training center (note: injured Henri Dupays is currently in treatment). So we left on the side of the road, it’s hard but it’s the best choice for a good operation. The club and I are going to get along better and that’s no insult to those who aren’t here today.
Among the absent players is Harouna Sy as a reinforcement is about to end in his post…
Yes, we have recruited a left side (note: Sebastien Ring), who will a priori be our incumbent. We also have Mattheo Xantippe who extended and we joined Kassoum Ouattara in the group, there were too many people in the group for this position. We wanted Harouna to find a way out, will it happen? They have the market in their hands and we’ll see how it goes by the end of the course. For the moment, we have drawn up a roadmap and we are sticking to it.
Ring has signed well at Amiens SC and he should join the group this afternoon.
For the cuff, possible rotating cuff during preparation.
All information to come on @le11Amiens

When should Sebastien Ring join the group?
He is expected for this afternoon, normally he must sign his contract this afternoon (note: it is now official). He is a boy who has already played at a certain level, who has an interesting maturity at 26-27 years old. He is a player who has a good left foot, who can occupy the entire left lane, I think he can even play in the middle. It’s a similar profile to Mattheo Xantippe with a bit more power and speed.
In the direction of departures, you lost Mateo Pavlovic…
We understood quite early at the end of last season that he was looking for a new project. He is a boy who is 32 years old, who is returning home, who has certainly made a good contract. We had already anticipated his departure with the arrival of Barry. Nicholas (Opoku) must also be our basic defender alongside Mamadou Fofana and little Barry if we start on a three-man defense.
You didn’t mention Formose Mendy, so that means you don’t plan to work with him?
Today, we have three players on the way out, whom the club also wants to sell to enter into financial operations. We know that Formose, Aliou and possibly Tolu are people who are likely to leave. I have integrated him well and we have generally planned the replacements but we don’t know when they will leave. You have to find a buyer at the right price, it’s not great to train people who can leave at any time. There just can’t be six or seven of them. Formosa is kind of our key player for a start who can also unlock a lot of things. With a sale, the club will be a little quieter at this level. It is in any case the speech of the president.
You lose your captain and find yourself in a situation similar to last year…
Indeed, we may proceed to a rotating armband during the preparation. We’ll see how to handle that.
Chadrac Akolo and Mamadou Fofana have the right to a staggered recovery because of their presence in the selection?
That’s it. They played until June 9, so they were given an extra week. They will be there on Sunday to go on training.
