This Tuesday, June 21 we celebrate the first day of summer but also, and above all, the music, Midi Libre offers you for the occasion the map of events as well as its selection of concerts in the former Languedoc-Roussillon.

There is of course the great concert of France Television, place of Europe. The evening will be broadcast live on France 2, but beware, entry is by ticket only. An evening that will take place without bigFlo and Oli, who announced their absence that very day. We can also mention three other highlights. On the side of the Domaine d’O, at 6 p.m., the Montpellier National Opera Chorus takes to the stage of the JeanClaude Carrière theater for a performance around the most famous compositions
At rock store20 rue de Verdun, the Dakh Daughters cabaret troupe, seven young Ukrainian women who have recently taken refuge in France, will present at 9 p.m. and free admission, their show Ukraine on Fire, with more than fifteen different instruments.
From 10:35 p.m. to 11:35 p.m., it is to the sound of percussion that the spectators of the the Main Stage, Place de la Comédie. Since 1987, the sixteen artists of the group Les Tambours du Bronx combine instruments and choreography, for a real rock’n’roll show around different musical genres.
The whole city will be bathed from 3 p.m. under the musical notes of local orchestras, groups, pianists, DJs and cabarets. The entire city center will then be requisitioned to be able to celebrate the beginning of summer with music. For this evening, several DJs will be present, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Place Jean-Jaurès, like GregLassierra to make you vibrate under a Latin atmosphere.
From 8 p.m., at the Paul Riquet alleys, you can enjoy a Blues collective. La Banda Mescladis, Les Mesclakids, Les Bananes Flambée, La Bande à Béziers and DJ Joff Randall will perform at Les Halles from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
If the musical notes have already sounded in the open air in the arenas for the Nîmes Festival since this Friday evening, many other concerts are announced this Tuesday. The municipality has set up an eclectic program. Thus place of the chapter at 9 p.m., the symphony orchestra of the conservatory will perform. For Hip-Hop fans, make an appointment on the Place de l’Horloge at 7:30 p.m. with Minuit 4. And wait until 8:30 p.m. at the same place for a pop soul evening with Late on Monday.
Finally at the Bosquet des jardins de la Fontaine (place Pablo-Picasso for the GPS), from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., an electro evening ANIMATED with Greg Delon, Nicolas Cuer, Kaive, Yourk, Fak, Dasco, Hugo Bvf will offer a more electro atmosphere.
Two wanderings of peñas are also planned for this Tuesday evening in the Ecusson, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Peña Camargua), then from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. (Batucad’lib).
From 5 p.m., the festivities begin with an open stage at the Frankene kiosk with a varied musical program. From André Martellucci (popular songs) to Ulan Bastards (pop punk), there is room for sharing. From 6 p.m. Cap Brassens amateur choir, which takes up the repertoire of the most famous Sète singer of all time on the forecourt of the François-Mitterrand media library.
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. : A new musical navirade will see boats wandering through the city, via the many canals that cross it. At the same time, the heart of the city will vibrate to the sound of Les Gens Bons and their French repertoire accompanied by recorder and saxophone. Of the 7:30 p.m., near the Môle Saint-Louis, Hors 2 Low and the Underground Circle will resonate with their electro hip-hop sounds. At 8:30 p.m., thehe last meeting of the day takes place on Place Léon Blum, under the orchestral flights of the Harmonie de Sète.
At the Hôtel de Ville, you will find the greatest hits from the 1970s to 2000, from 6 p.m. to midnight. On the Place des Martyrs, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., musical entertainment is planned on each of the two stages. At 7 p.m., a first flamenco show takes place, followed by a fashion show at 7:30 p.m. they will make their second appearance at 9.45 p.m., before a DJ show by the MZK association at 10.30 p.m.
Several appointments, which we have listed here, starting at 7:30 p.m. on the place des Halles with the Radio Larzac stage to finish at 11:30 p.m. with a DJ Set.
At 7:30 p.m., students from the Aveyron departmental conservatory will perform Place Emma-Calvé and place du Voultre.
Finally Place Foch at 8:30 p.m.: Lo Gantieirelo (music and folk dance); 9:30 p.m., Tindelon, 10:30 p.m., Djéné-Marena (dances and music from West Africa). Chap-Chap, dance teacher and Djakiss, musician, both from the Ivory Coast, will make discover the music and the traditional dance of their country, but also more largely of West Africa.
